AIDS Lifecycle ride
This year I am participating in the AIDS Lifecycle Ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
The 545 mile ride takes place in June, and raises money for the LA LGBT Center and SF AIDS Foundation to provide resources for HIV and AIDS awareness, advocacy, research, and treatment. We ride, we eat, we camp, we sleep, and get up the next day and do it all over again for 7 days.
Since the beginning, 78 million people around the world have been infected with HIV, 39 million have died, and 41% living with HIV have access to antiretroviral therapy. There still largely exists negative and untrue stigma about those living with HIV.
Since I’ve moved to LA and became aware of the event, it’s always been my goal to do the ride. The cause. The community. The challenge. The life-changing experience. 2018. This is the year.
To participate, each rider must raise $3,000. It’s my goal to raise $5,000.
To reach this goal, I am relying on family and friends, near and far, people such as yourself, to make donations. Whether it’s $10, $100, $1000 or somewhere in between, every penny makes a difference.
To donate, it’s very easy. Click the link in my bio and go to my personal page:
Your support means the world to me as well as those individuals who’s life will benefit from your generosity.
